عالم  رياضيات ،  وفلك يوناني الأصل . عمر  بين القرن الثالث والقرن الثاني قبل‎ الميلاد

كان  متصل بمدرسة الإسكندرية للرياضيات.

Apollonius de Berga
Greek mathematician and astronomer. Omar, between the third and

second centuries BC, was connected to the Alexandria School of Mathematics.

 أبرز أعماله:‎

قام بتنسيق وتعميم المعارف السابقة على القطع المخروطية، وحدد‎  
موضوعه بالنسبة للزاوية الرأسية للمخروط فكان القطع الناقص (Ellipse) عندما
تكون الزاوية الرأسية حادة والقطع المكافئ  Parobole »‏ عندما تكون الزاوية الرأسية
قائمة والقطع الزائد عندما تكون الزاوية الرأسية منفرجة .
وبالتالي حدد القطع المخروطية بمعادلات يتم تحديدها بالنسبة لقطر المنحنى
وللمماس  لطرف القطر ودرس خواصها. ضاع معظم  إنتاجه حين أن قسم آخر نسب الى العالم بابيوس . 

His most prominent works

He coordinated and generalized previous knowledge on conic sections

Its position relative to the vertical angle of the cone was the ellipse when
The vertical angle is acute and the parabola is "Parobole" when the vertical angle is
List and hyperbola when the vertical angle is obtuse.

Thus define the conic sections with equations that are given with respect to the diameter of the curve

And for the tangent to the tip of the diameter and studied its properties. Most of his productions were lost while another section was attributed to the scholar Papius.
